We can’t believe it’s this time of year again! The rain has finally come, the air is crisp and our coats, gloves and scarves are all being prioritised to the very front of our wardrobes. Winter seems to be properly upon us and so we thought what better time to revisit this beautiful Winter Wanderlust editorial photoshoot, shot last year by Haley from Haley Takes Photos.

We chatted with bloom extraordinaire, Pippa Sharp from Wilderflower to share with us what inspired her to help bring this shoot to life.

“For an unusual winter wedding, we loved exploring foraged flora, texture, interesting shapes and earthiness – and the shoot was filled with all this kind of goodness. My dear friend Shari from Bouwer Flowers and I had the best time dreaming, planning and conceptualizing the flowers for this shoot. We planned the general look and feel, and let nature lead us the rest of the way. We had an absolute ball foraging.

We wanted to bring to life that winter weddings can be cosy and something unique without having to go with the deep burgundy colours that are often the norm. In so many ways, winter is an amazing time of year for a wedding.”
