KARIN RAE BARNES

Karin Rae’s love for jewellery began at Stellenbosch University in Cape Town, South Africa, where she studied a BA Fine Art (Jewellery and Metal Techniques). ⁠ In 2008, she completed a semester at the Pforzheim Hochschule in Germany, which solidified her decision to start a brand of her own.⁠ Drawing inspiration from her diverse South African and German familial heritage, Karin breathed life into her dream and launched Dear Rae in 2010. ⁠

GODFREY MOKAEANE

Godfrey Mokaeane is a social impact entrepreneur, with a key focus on investing in businesses that can benefit from this. He also runs his own businesses that have strong social impact missions, in areas of Future Cities, Human Mobility, Food Security, Investments & NGO’s. He is Group CEO of Motion Holdings Group. He assists and guides non-profit organisations globally to make the shift to for-profit with a social mission.

We work with the British Letter ring sizing system meaning that your ring size will be a letter. We have grouped the letters together into sizes that are easier to understand: X-Small, Small, Medium, Large and  X-Large. It is important to note that your ring size does not necessarily correlate with your clothing size. You can be an X-Small clothing size and have X-Large finger. The best and most accurate way to get your finger measured is to visit your local jeweller, but we totally understand that it’s not always convenient or possible which is why we have shared a helpful sizing guide that can be printed out and used at home.

Please note that if you choose to measure your finger at home and the measurement ends up being incorrect, we cannot be held liable. Therefore, we advise you to get properly measured at your local jewellery store.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET MY PACKAGE?

All products have a tag that either says ‘ready to ship’ or ‘will ship in 15 working days’ . If ready to ship you will receive your order in 2-4 days, otherwise please allow 20 days to receive your order as these items are made to order.

WHAT IS THE COST OF SHIPPING?

UK shipping is free, while the EU and the rest of the world are a standard £10 for fully tracked shipping via courier.

WHEN WILL IT GET HERE?

UK shipping takes 48 hours, while the EU and the rest of the world takes 2 - 4 days (both options fully trackable via courier service). Please note that for international orders, different countries have different customs regulations. This may result in your package being held for processing, thereby affecting your delivery date. We recommend contacting your local customs office for more information.

WHAT KIND OF ADDRESS/DETAILS DO YOU NEED?

We will need your full physical address including a postal code, as well as your email address and mobile number. For orders outside of the UK, please be sure to double check your mobile number, as it is very important for the customs and delivery processes.

CUSTOMS, DUTIES & TAXES

International orders may be subject to customs or import duties and tax charges on arrival in any country outside of the UK. This cost is your responsibility, which means that you’ll be liable for any/all import charges that may be added. These charges vary between countries so we recommend contacting your local customs office for more details.

CAN YOU DELIVER TO A PO BOX?

All orders need to be signed for and therefore we cannot deliver to PO boxes, BFPO addresses or mail-forwarding addresses. Please provide a physical address at checkout to ensure a streamlined delivery process.

CAN I CHANGE/CANCEL MY ORDER ONCE IT HAS BEEN PLACED?

Unfortunately we cannot amend an order once it has been placed, but you are welcome to return your order within 14 days of purchasing. Please see our returns page for more information.

CAN I COLLECT MY ORDER?

We do not have a click and collect service. Please select a delivery option at checkout.

Sadly, we are unable to ship to the following countries due to customs restrictions: EUROPE Russia, Ukraine, Aland Island, Bouvet Island, Macedonia, Moldova, Switzerland and Latvia. NORTH AMERICA: St Pierre and Miquelon, St Vincent & the Grenadines, and Svalbard and Jan Mayen Islands. SOUTH AMERICA Falkland Islands GREATER AMERICA Netherland Antilles ASIA India, Indonesia, British Indian Ocean Territory, Christmas Island, Cocos (Keeling) Islands, Iran, Democratic Peoples Republic, Laos, Myanmar, Palestinian Territories, Syrian Arab Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Yemen. AFRICA Central African Republic, Comoros, Côte d'Ivoire, French Southern Territories, Guinea-Bissau, Mayotta, St Helena, Tanzania and Western Sahara. WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT SHIPPING OPTIONS?

We offer free delivery on all UK orders via Royal Mail on a 48 hour service. This is tracked on despatch and when it is delivered. If you are in a rush to receive your jewels, we also offer a fully tracked courier service for £6 up to 2kg on all UK orders. International orders are all sent by fully tracked courier, rates are weight dependent and are calculated at checkout.
